Simply put, an E-Commerce website is one which utilizes the buying and selling of goods, services, or information via the World Wide Web, email or other pathways on the Internet. E-Commerce can be classified based on the type of participants in the transaction: Business to Business (B2B), Business to Consumer (B2C), and Consumer to Consumer (C2C).
The primary benefits of E-Commerce revolve around the fact that it eliminates the limitations of time and geographical distance. In the process, E-Commerce usually streamlines operations and lowers costs.
